♥Book Four in the Reaper’s MC Series♥
As Reapers Motorcycle Club president, Reese “Picnic” Hayes has given his entire life to the club. After losing his wife, he knew he’d never love another woman. And with two daughters to raise and a club to manage, that was just fine with him. These days, Reese keeps his relationships free and easy—he definitely doesn’t want to waste his time on a glorified cleaning lady like London Armstrong.
Too bad he’s completely obsessed with her.
Besides running her own business, London’s got her junkie cousin’s daughter to look after—a more reckless than average eighteen-year-old. Sure she’s attracted to the Reapers’ president, but she’s not stupid. Reese Hayes is a criminal and a thug. But when her young cousin gets caught up with a ruthless drug cartel, Reese might be the only man who can help her. Now London has to make the hardest decision of her life—how far will she go to save her family?

“Okay, let’s get some shit straight and then you can head out.” Great, here it came. The Talk. Fortunately I was ahead of him for once.
“Don’t worry, Reese. I know this was just a one-off for you, and that you don’t want a relationship. That’s what I needed, too, so in a way it’s perfect. No harm, no foul. We can just pretend this never happened.”
A scowl covered his face. “What the fuck are you talking about?”
“Us. Or rather, the fact that there isn’t an ‘us.’ I get it—you like to sleep around. I had a good time, but I’m not expecting a ring or anything.”
His eyes widened, and I smirked.
“Although I’ll be around if you want another booty call,” I added slyly.
Yay me! I’m a sophisticated woman who knows the difference between love and sex.
Reese’s scowl grew deeper, and then suddenly he moved and I was under him, pinned down against the bed. He pulled my hands up, holding them prisoner above my head.
“Are you fucked in the head?” he demanded harshly. “You get laid for the first time in years, it’s phenomenal—”
“Well, aren’t you the modest one?”
“It’s phenomenal,” he repeated, emphasizing the word heavily. “And now you’re just going to ignore me? I am not fuckin’ down with that.”
Reapers Stand by Joanna Wylde
Reece & London
MY O.C.D. IS KICKIN’ IN!
Well, butter my ass and call me a biscuit! These damn books just keep getting better and better! I can’t believe Joanna had me glued to my damn kindle AGAIN! Ok, first and foremost… this book is everything you think it is and so much more. Joanna never disappoints and she never holds anything back. Ya gotta love her for that alone! This is her fourth installment of the Reaper’s Motorcycle Club series and it’s even more superior than it’s predecessors. I found Reaper’s Stand to be so compelling that I literally could not put it down. The hubs had to MAKE me go to bed!
Man oh man, let’s talk about Reese Hayes. Better yet, let’s daydream about Reese Hayes and salivate thinking about Reese Hayes and watch our panties burst into flames dreaming and drooling over Reese Hayes. I have to admit his tongue is sharp and it cut me a few times. I know, I know he’s the president of a MC for god sakes, but the way vulgarity rolled off his tongue was incredible AND I liked it! I’m fairly certain I’m going to hell, but hey, I’ll have plenty of company. Ok, so he has a job to do, a club to run, and a cleaning lady to harass and harass he did. Still, what a great guy! Harsh most of the time, soft when needed, and always ready to take on London and her needs.
Now, London… Wow! She’s like Wonder Woman when it comes to holding it all together, making life run efficiently, and keeping it running that way… Until that crazy ass cousin or niece of hers Jessica starts up with her shit ton of bullshit! I have to just say this, Jessica is one fucked chick. She may have her problems (don’t we all), but holy hell the shit storm she rains down on London is unforgivable and London actually falls for her shit and comes-a-runnin’! I would have given up on that thorn in my side a long time ago. London is a saint and even though she’s going about things the wrong way, I still love her cleaning OCD ass!
Great supporting character cast in Jessica (yes, she does make the story richer). Even Nate, a.k.a. Deputy Dick is a great character with his “Oh, I do care about you Loni” attitude! Yeah, right jerkface! Now, one supporting character I never, and I mean NEVER thought I’d ever grow to like is Painter, but he sure did a 180 for me and even though he’s still kind of a dick, he’s won me over and I’ll be looking for more from him down the road. I loved all the happenings going on with Em and Hunter. Sure did make for an awesomely rounded story!
The dialogue flows very nicely, the pacing is perfect, and the story Joanna created was just simply effortless to read. It’s an estimated 321 (Kindle version) pages long and for this reader it was just right! If you haven’t read any of these yet… don’t start here… you need to pick up Reaper’s Property first… oh that story will knock your socks off with Horse and Marie!
