I race to finance it.
I evade to protect it.
I kill to attain it.
I planned everything.
The alluring, curvaceous blonde at the finish line.
With sapphire eyes that cheat and lie.
Whose powerful family murdered mine.
I hate her.
I want her.
I know she’s hiding something.
But so am I.

Dirty Ties by Pam Godwin
I CHOOSE THE FOURTH OPTION!
Logan, Collin, and Kaci
OK, first and foremost this is by far Pam’s best book yet. I know, I know, I say that same shit every time Pam puts a book out, but believe me when I tell you this one will rock your fucking world and leave you with the biggest, sexiest, and sated smile on your damn face! I am in love with Logan, Collin, and Kaci! I want to wrap myself in leather, hop on a Ducati, and ride the wind all the way to Chi-town!
Let me start with Collin! He’s one of those guys that every girls needs but doesn’t know what to do with once they get him! He harbors deep secrets, endless emotions, and the best damn wardrobe to even make Prada designers jealous! Beware of Collin Anderson! He’ll melt your heart and still make you second guess his motives. I soooo wish “The Anderson Angle” was a real show, I’d watch it just catch a glimpse of that beautiful man! It seems at times he’s clueless, but I honestly think he wants you to think that. Watch out for the quiet ones!
Logan, my beautifully fucked up Login! A man whose head and heart think & beat with the thick stench of vengeance. He’s ruled by his passion for revenge and an obsession for retribution. His need to bring down the people who victimized him and took the only thing away that he knew is so immense that it’s consuming his every breath. Beneath that black leather and that high tech helmet is just a man. A man with the most beautiful greenish-goldish eyes, the sexiest tousled dirty blonde hair, and a mouth made for licking the most delicate piercing. He’s full of so many emotions that are up and down the spectrum that he nearly killed me with his deceitfulness and betrayal! Just when you think you know him or just when you think you know what he’ll do next you’re so far thrown off the path that you’ll be screaming out Pam’s name in vain! Logan Flynt is mine and I don’t share well with others!
I raced to finance it.
I evaded to protect it.
I killed to attain it.”
“It’s a crazy need inside me, driving me to be near you, to watch over you, to undo the hurt I put in your eyes. I don’t fucking know what it is but I feel it now, spinning me around – around you-and knocking me way the fuck off track.”
Now onto that hot little number Pam calls Kaci. I love this bitch with everything I am and everything I have. She is the epitome of goodness… of sex appeal… and everything in between. She has more than most of us could ever dream of having, but at what cost? Oh nothing much… just her soul. Longing for so much more than money can buy, she’s trapped and the walls keep closing in. What she needs is something so basic, yet so necessary to the human spirit that she’ll go to great lengths to get it. She’s calm and calculating. She’s comical and smart. She’s not afraid to go after what she wants but if it cost her the only family she’s ever known and loved then she’ll have to either give up or find another way. My heart broke so many times for this beautiful soul and wept with more angst than my body was prepared to handle. I have to hand it to her though, she can run with the big fish and still keep her chin up!
“Now there’s something you don’t see every day. A carnivorous, cold-blooded reptile holding a snake.”
“The strongest love begins from a place of conflict. It’s a volatile journey of committing and fighting and recommitting, but the effort is resolute and evolves into something so consuming the heart aches just thinking about it.”
Onto our great supporting character cast… Benny… oh that damn girl is soooo fucking hilarious. She needs her own book! She’s quirky, humorous, and just doesn’t give a shit who she pisses off or what trouble she might get into for her crazy antics. I love that her “book” doesn’t match her “cover”! Now, those parents… Trent especially can kiss my ass. How can parents be so cruel? How can they put so many demands on their children, forcing them into lives they never wanted? I’ll never understand how a mother can lose that protective instinct to defend her young. How???? Pam always writes the best villains. So good that I’m usually rooting for her villains in a secret kinda way, but not this time. She wrote the Baskels and the Andersons so wickedly that even I don’t like them. Good job hooker!!!
Oh God, to sum this up. This story will leave you with so many sensations. It’ll pull on your heartstrings and drive you crazy! The plot is so thick with suspicion and mistrust. It will take you on the ride of your life and leave you begging for more. The dialogue flows like wind and leaves no stone unturned. The characters are so powerful and so beautifully written that you’ll find yourself wanting to be them, to feel what they feel. The tension and suspense created by the tremulous storyline will have you gutted. The book itself is 299 (Kindle version) pages long and with that, Pam knocked it outta the park. Pam, you are my hero and I will love you and your books till my dying day!
5 Stars because 10 is not an option!!! Whoa… this book is so damn good!!!!
He knelt over my attacker, his strength visible in the stretch of the jacket over his back and shoulders. His helmet cocked, angled in my direction. “I had this.”
Oh my God, his voice. Okay, it was definitely synthesized, his timbre humming with an electronic overlay, but it was deep and gravelly and so goddamned sexy.
Pull yourself together, Kaci. He was far more dangerous than the man who just attacked me.
“Get out of here.” I nodded to the street behind me, and as if on cue, another squad car zoomed by. “I’ll hold him until you’re gone.”
What was I saying? I didn’t want him to leave.
I thought I heard a chuckle, but couldn’t be sure with the whine of sirens and exhaust pipes. He looked back at my attacker, swung an arm, and knocked him out. Damn. Okay, that worked too.
I lowered the gun. “You won the race?”
“Of course.” He rose and erased the distance between us in three strides.
My nerves shivered, overloaded and amped up, and oh God, he was just standing there, heating the air around me, staring at me. What did he want? I opened my mouth to spew a gushing thank you.
He snatched the gun from my hand.
What the? “Give that ba—”
He lifted my chin and stroked a gloved finger over the nicks on my throat. Each caress irritated the cuts, but I didn’t want him to stop. He raised the finger in front of my visor, blood soaking the leather tip. “Have you learned your lesson?”
His voice reverberated through me, and my knees weakened. Even with the electronic distortion, he sounded pissed.
My heart panted, and a throb swelled, hot and needy, between my legs. All because of a pissed-off synthesized voice? I might’ve just swallowed my self-respect, but I couldn’t help it. My body had one mission, and that mission vibrated against me like he wanted to tear me in half. Damn me to hell, but my inner muscles clenched at the thought.
I touched my throat and flinched at the bite of pain. “It’s just a scratch.”
The reflection of my helmet in his visor wavered as he shook his head. He gazed down on me as if he were…considering something? God, I wished I could see his face, his eyes.
His finger returned to my throat, trailed a path beneath my chin, lifting it and catching on the edge of the helmet. He tugged it, like he wanted to rip off the shield and see my eyes, too. “Get on your bike, sweetheart.”
He flicked the safety on the gun and gripped my shoulders, turning my body to face the bike. Both bikes. His and mine side-by-side. Oh, how I loved the sight of that.
His fingers touched my hip, slipping beneath my jacket to stroke my bare skin. I trembled against the brush of his glove, until he opened his mouth. “This is your last race.”
The temperature in my helmet rose by ten degrees, and my cheeks inflamed. I glared at him over my shoulder. “Excuse me?”
Smack. A stinging jolt of fire rippled over my ass, and I shuffled forward. He fucking hit me! I placed my hands on the bike’s seat, and unbidden, a grin took hold of my face. He fucking spanked me.
