Playing For Keeps

Grant Cassidy knows how to be a football star—flash that dazzling smile, throw the winning pass, get the girl. But while the hot quarterback loves the game and the lifestyle, no woman has come close to catching his heart. Then he matches wits with a smart, gorgeous model, and Grant finds himself wanting more than a fling.

Supermodel Katrina Koslova might live in a world of glitz and camera flashes, but she works hard to provide for the family that relies on her. She doesn’t have time for fun—much less a boyfriend—but Grant seems determined to be the exception to Katrina’s rule.

Their explosive chemistry is undeniable, but Katrina’s afraid to let go and rely on anyone but herself. Grant intends to ease her fears and prove he’s a man of style and substance

Grant & Katrina

Wow, this is just what the sports doctor ordered! It’s adorable, it’s comical, and it sexy. I don’t think I ever read a sports romance before and if I did it must have not been too memorable cause I can’t remember it. Now, this one will stay with me for a while! It has your sexy as sin quarterback Grant Cassidy barraging through the neat and organized life of equally sexy as sin supermodel Katrina Korsova. I couldn’t wait to read this one!

Grant is so many things! He’s smart, well-built, outgoing, and when he sets his sights on Katrina, there seems to be no stopping him. I love how he just seems to take charge and makes all the right moves in infiltrating Katrina’s life. Not many things can throw him off from his pursuit. He’s one of five siblings, three brothers, and a sister. They all seem to have a sport talent as well as their father. Holy hot family!! Grant Cassidy is simply a superstar on and off the field!

Katrina, well she kind of got on my last nerve with her whiney attitude on life. I get that she was left holding the bag when her Mother died and Father left, but holy hell girl, you’ve transformed yourself into the one of the worlds most sought after supermodel. You’ve living the highlife in Manhattan, and you have more money than God! Leo and Anya, her siblings made more sense than her most of the time. They knew what she needed before she knew what she needed! It was fun to watch her walls crumble and her life turn upside down once Grant hit it!

Great supporting character cast in Anya, Leo, and all of Grant’s siblings. They all made the story that much richer and funnier for that matter. I loved when Grant brought Kat and her family to his parents ranch. They all seemed to work together like a well oiled machine. Almost like they were already “family.” The only thing I think I may have missed while reading this is there really wasn’t any angst or grit, but the story was good none-the-less!

It’s a book that you could read in a day or two. It’ll leave you feeling all fuzzy and warm inside. It’s not a dark read, it’s more like a “feel good” read, so if you’re in the market to read something more uplifting and heartwarming, then this is your book. The pacing is good, a little sluggish at times, but picks right back up. The dialogue flows and the writing style is effortless to read.

I received a Netgalley copy from Berkley Publishing for an honest review!

4 stars!
