One look and I knew Cole was mine. My dark rebel in leather. My powerhouse of passion, devastating smiles, and impulsiveness.
When his job sends him overseas, he promises to return to me.
A promise that’s destroyed in the most irrevocable way.
Two years later, an arrogant suit invades my heartbroken loneliness.
Clean-cut and stern, Trace is everything Cole wasn’t.
At first, he’s a job that will rescue my dance company. But as he intrudes on my life, our hostile relationship evolves.
He knows I’m still in love with Cole, but his dedication is my undoing.
Then a catastrophic moment changes everything.
And an impossible choice shatters my world.
I love two men, and I can only have one.
This is just the start. The start of a beautifully fucked up relationship! I entered into this one knowing it’s a trilogy and I won’t know the conclusion until the third book graces the pages of my Kindle, but I’m totally good with that! Pam writes such beautiful words, that you just can’t pass this up!
Danni has got to be one of my all-time favorite lead female characters. She reminds me a lot of her creator. She’s bold, unapologetic, and comical. You just can’t help but love her. When she laughed, I laughed. When she cried, I cried. Her presence is just that powerful.
Cole seems to be a pretty straight forward shooter. I know there’s things he can’t talk about, and that kind of pisses me off, but what’s a girl to do… Shit I still love the overbearing, protective bastard. Now Trace is uber mysterious and dark. He comes on like a freaking lion and it doesn’t stop there. He is alfa in every way and maybe just a bit more than Cole. Prolly why Trace would be my fave here!
The supporting character cast is small, but good. Danni’s sister Bree and that little munchkin Angel…holy demon child. I laughed my ass off at these two and I’m sure you will too.
So, this one was the start of a trilogy so don’t think you’ll be having a happily ever after just yet. Pull up your big girl thongs, grab a pack of smokes, and a bottle of Jack cause you’re in for a rough ride. It took turns I never thought it would, and had me yelling at my Kindle. The characters are commanding and the storyline gripping. Loaded with tons of tension and an excellent pacing, this one was perfect. Love me some Pam G!
