A short but sweet tale of Insta-love and faith.
If Luke Knight could change anything about his life, it would be the day his nephew died. Filled with guilt, Luke lived a lonely existence. Until the day an angel crashed into his truck… and struck his heart.
Anna Stubbs knew one thing without question: God has a reason for everything. Her optimism and faith shine from within, and no matter how hard Luke tries, he can’t ignore it.
When life throws an unexpected curveball, both Luke and Anna will need to reach deep inside themselves this holiday season, and learn to have faith that God is in control and duck slippers truly are a man’s undoing.
Rated R for language and sexual content.
Luke: A Scrooged Christmas by C.P. Smith
Luke and Anna
THIS WAS FANTASTIC
This is a novella and for those of you that don’t know what that is, it’s a short novel or long short story… and in CP Smith’s case, it’s an even quicker version of her “insta-love” kinda stories.
This is a holiday/Christmas setting and in the (kindle addition) 73 pages you’ll go from gloomy to joyful to alarmed to turned on to shit, who knows anymore!! God I love her stories!!
Anna is coming home for the first time since her parents passed and her brother Gregg is leaving on a trip with his band which leaves Anna home alone for Christmas. She’s not thrilled to say the least, but when a fender-bender happens and an unexpected malfunction with her furnace, things go from bad to holy fucking hot!!
Luke is a contractor by trade, but filling in for his friend’s heating and Air Conditioning Company while he’s away for the holidays, so when he gets a call about no heat on Christmas he’s not exactly overjoyed, but heads out non-the-less.
Eeeeek, this story is short, but packs a punch! I could not put it down. I was drawn to Luke and Anna immediately and their charm and keenness kept me turning pages like they were on fire. LOL, they just might have been. The storyline was exceptional and effortless to read. The pacing was perfect and the climax did the book justice. I loved it!
