MY REVIEW

Fidelity by Aleatha Romig
Nox and Charli
CHILLING, GRIPPING, AND MOST OF ALL SATISFYING
5 STARS

So, this is the last book in this crazy serial by Aleatha Romig. It promises to knock your socks off and then some. Going into this one, I wasn’t sure how the outcome would be, I mean, I know what I wanted it to be, but things don’t always go the way you want them to, right? I wanted happiness for some and I harbored bitter hatred for others…

The characters in this story have had my heart from the very beginning. Nox has to be my all time fave and Charli a close second. She drove me completely bonkers for a while there, but eventually pulls her head outta her ass so she could see the evilness around her and finally do something about it.

This serial has been compelling, captivating, and enjoyable. The characters (lead and supporting) were powerful, the storyline jam packed with tension and turmoil. I guess you could say it chewed me up, spit me out, and eventually let me down gently! I loved it!

Incentive by Pam Godwin
Decker and Laynee
I DIDN’T WANT THIS TO END
5 HOLY MOLY STARS

I loved this book from the very beginning. I was intrigued to say the least when this spin-off “Kindle World” thingy from Aleatha Romig’s Infidelity series came about and when Pam Godwin decided to write one… well, holy hell… I was on it like white on rice. Pam wrote a story that’s not only good, but believable. Most stories are about a rich dude and a down on her luck chick… Not this one. This one is the opposite. Decker is down on his luck and offered that chance of a lifetime to finally get himself out of hock and have some bank to boot.

Decker is struggling to make ends meet and keep his “meat” safe from pushy, sexually harassing bosses! When he’s approached by a patron of the bar he works at to check into this life changing possibly, of course he’s intrigued. He vows to only show up for the interview, but things move so quickly before he knows it, he’s been paired up with a client.

Laynee is one of those characters you pull for and love to pieces. She’s scarred inside and out! She lives each day in her little protective bubble and she “thinks” she has control. Little does she know her world is about to undergo some major renovations.

This book is not only comical, sensual, and heartbreaking, but it’s inspirational. The things each of these characters teaches each other and the things they taught me will forever be branded on my heart. The storyline is dark, but not too dark. The pacing is perfect and keeps you moving along. The writing style is superb and why wouldn’t it be, it’s Pam Freakin’ Godwin for fucksake. Nice job Pam… I loved it!

Together they move to New York to pursue their passions. Dillon is a singer/songwriter looking for his big break while Sky wants nothing more than to become a top fashion designer.

MY REVIEW

You’re the Only One by E.M. Abel
Dillon and Sky
NEARLY LOST MYSELF IN THIS BOOK
5 STARS

So, this is my first E.M. Abel book and what a book to pop my cherry on. I’ve always loved rock stars and musicians, but this one is a little bit different. He’s not rich and famous. She’s not a groupie! They are best friends pursuing their dreams in the big apple. Best friends that seriously needed each other in the worst way, but took forever to figure that out!

Dillion is quite a guy. He’s actually a great guy! His heart is genuine and his motives are always intentional. He struggles every day with putting down the “right’ lyrics and finding his happy medium when it comes to his dreams, dating, and everyday life. Now, his BFF Sky seems more outgoing. She’s willing to try things out of her comfort zone, but still looks back at what could be or should be. Sometimes I wanted to grab both of them and just shake the shit outta them and say “OPEN YOUR EYES PEOPLE,” but no such luck… yelling at my kindle didn’t do shit!

I was pleasantly surprised at the conclusion of the book. Although there were parts that made me want to rip my hair out and parts that pulled on my heart strings, I was delighted with the outcome. This story is real… like it could happen to you! I giggled, I sobbed, and I swooned. Be prepared to feel a conundrum of emotions! I will be reading more of Ms. Abel in the future.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

E.M. Abel was born and raised a Marine Corps brat. She spent a large portion of her life moving and living in her mother’s home country, Japan. As a result, she gained independence and a unique perspective on the world. The youngest of three girls, E.M. Abel spent a lot of time alone in her room writing or sketching in her journals and dreaming up stories. Growing up, she wrote poems, short stories and articles for her high school newspaper. She also fell in love with art and discovered her deep need for self-expression.

Now, a Navy wife with two small children of her own, she still loves being creative and most of all translating her stories into novels. E.M. Abel, now referred to as E or Em by her friends and readers, can often be found with her headphones on jamming out to punk rock, in a chair getting tattooed or cooking dinner for her kids and attending gymnastics practice. No matter what she’s doing in her life, she’s always sure to do it her way.

Review: Ends Here (Road to Nowhere #2) by M. Robinson

Ashes to ashes.
Dust to dust.
And all that fucking shit.
I had killed.
I had sacrificed.
The innocent and the corrupt. I knew blood and I knew violence.
Never imagining I could know love too.
Mia Ryder was a woman to love. To cherish. To fucking claim. Now, forever, and
every day in between.
If there was anyone I’d go to Hell and back for, it was her.
Even if it meant, going to war with…
My fucking brother.

MY REVIEW

Ends Here by M. Robinson
Creed & Mia & Noah
HOLY HELL, THIS ROCKED!!
5 STARS

So, this is the wrap up of Creed and Mia’s crazy love story and holy freakin’ hell, what a book! Of course it’s an M. Robinson book, so it’s gonna take you a while to get through it, but oh so worth it. I was thoroughly satisfied with the conclusion.

Creed is all kinds of fucked up, but we already knew that… what you need to know is that you’ll be chewed up and spit out over all the feels and emotions he projects. I will always be a Creed fan, but man oh man, this guy drove me to drink on more than one occasion.

Mia is still a bratty little girl in my opinion, but slowly growing up throughout the pages. She’s all over the spectrum for me and sometimes it made me want to break her face, but I guess I get it, don’t like it, but get it!

The supporting character cast is fantastic, but sometimes terrifying. Noah was pretty hunky and broody but also at times made me question his loyalty. There are characters in this story that will make you cringe and ones that’ll make you swoon! And some both at the same time! LOL!

So, this one was unpredictable and surprising. It took turns I never thought it would, and had me yelling at my Kindle. The characters are commanding and the storyline gripping. Loaded with tons of tension and an excellent pacing, this one was perfect.

Review: Pennies (Dollar #1) by Pepper Winters

“I’m not the hero in this story, girl. You’d do best to remember that.”

Once upon a time, I was an eighteen year old psychology student.
Now, I’m a man’s property.
Stolen and sold, I’ve been decorated in bruises since the day my world changed two years ago.
I suffer in silence, I crave freedom, but I never break.
I can’t.
Until he arrives.
Elder Prest, the only man to look at me and see me. The only man more ruthless than my owner.
He wants me for reasons I don’t understand.
He claims me for one night then leaves and never looks back.
Until he returns.
And life becomes much more complicated.

MY REVIEW

Pennies by Pepper Winters
Pimlico, Elder, and Master A
HOLY. FUCKING. HELL.
5 DARK FUCKING STARS

I just released the breath I’ve been holding since I opened this book…. This is my introduction into the fucked up world of Pepper Winters. Yep, this is how I popped my Pepper cherry and I’m telling you… I’m reeling from this… I could not (for the life of me) put this dark and dank book down!

Pimlico (Tasmin) is such a resilient young woman. I don’t think I’d have half the courage she had for so long. Think of the unimaginable as far as what you think you can endure and then triple it! This woman defies the odds and keeps her chin up. Well, when Master A would allow it! Broken bones and bruises where the norm on the outside, but her spirit and tenacity kept her from sinking into the abyss. I love her in every way, shape, and form.

Master A is a complete and utter fuckstick! He’s the epitome of evil. He hurts without regard, he takes without concern, and he walks around like it’s all ok to be such a dick. I can’t even begin to describe the evil that he is. The devil could learn a few tricks from this prick! He can take his white house, white clothes, and white life and shove it up his Lillie white ass!

Elder… oh God, Elder… I think I love him. He’s dark, mysterious, and all alpha. He makes me want to see the good in people. He’s done things he’s not proud of and I’m sure he’ll do more, but where Pim is concerned, his heart is slowly breaking through its rigid shell. I’m not sure where his intentions will bring him and Pim at the moment, but I’m hopeful it’ll be a place of respect, adoration, and hope.

This story is uber dark… you need to heed the authors warning at the beginning of the book… It has many triggers and will probably go down as one of the top ten darkest books I’ve ever read. It’s gripping, it’s persuasive, and it’s tragic. The characters are powerful and the storyline profound. I’m not completely sure how many books are in this series, but this one is not a standalone. I’m gonna dive into the next one soon.
