HOTTER THAN A JALAPENO’S COOCHIE

So, God help me but I’m a sucker for a sexy cowboy and Jarret is just what the doctor ordered. These two seem like an unlikely pair with Maybe being a city girl who could piss off the pope and Jarret being all bang on my chest and claiming his ground kind of guy, but sit tight, strap in, and get ready for one wild ride.

Jarret is a ladies man to say the least. He’s probably been with half the town and making his way through the other half when we catch up with him. He may be Jake’s twin, but he’s definitely got his own way of dealing with difficult out of town women. Consensual ways of course! LOL!

Maybe is on a mission and she won’t stop until she’s found out exactly what she needs to know. She’s harboring evidence that may or may not break her investigation wide open or crumble it. I immediately fell for her as she’s this tiny little spitfire that you just can’t help but love. She stares danger right in the face, but doesn’t back down for anything. My kinda gal!

The supporting character cast isn’t too large. Of course Jake and Conor are back in the picture and impressing the hell out of me with how far they’ve come. There are a few other characters that will be mentioned more in the next book Booted so we’ll just leave them there for now.

This was another excellent installment into the Trails of Sin series and they just keep getting better and the plot keeps getting thicker. This story is so gripping and the character are so intense. The dialogue flows and feels natural. The pacing is perfect. I am amazed at how much I have connected with each and every one of these characters. I love this series!!!

I THINK I DIED A LITTLE ON THESE PAGES
5 Stars!

What a ride! I mean, holy hell in a hand basket… this one was unforgiving and exhilarating. Really folks, from the first chapter…THE FIRST CHAPTER I was shocked, hooked , and gearing up for 110% full on angst. I got it!

I wanted this book to go in so many directions, sometimes it did, other times it went the complete opposite and truly, I was ok with that. Julep Ranch is a place that feels like home even to me, the reader! Pam does a brilliant job (as usual) of unfolding the setting, the landscape, and the feel of emotions involved.

Conor Cassidy is a free spirited young woman who stares despair in the face and pushes past its clutches only to be thrust into another conundrum. She’s remarkable and strong, She’s honest and unique, and she’ll steal your heart, break it and put it back together again.

Jake Holsten is all in where Conor is concerned. He’s loved her his whole life and no one or thing will ultimately come between them, or so I thought. He’s honest to a fault, but has to bite his tongue to keep his girl safe.

There aren’t too many supporting characters or at least not ones I care to mention. There is of course Jarret (Jakes twin) and Lorne, Conor’s brother. These two cowboys are going to rock the pages of book 2 and book 3 and holy moly guacamole people, those books are going to be scorching.

I loved this story with my entire soul. It was captivating right away and the characters are genuine and likable and drew me in instantaneously. The dialogue flows easily and sounds natural. The storyline is irreplaceable and the pacing flawless. The tension is immediate and leads you to a path of destruction, refurbishing, love, and acceptance. What a breathtaking tale!
